Camp Pinnacle and Pinnacle Diamond Ranch are located in upstate New York, about half an hour from Albany.

Camp Pinnacle’s summer program exists to reach youth and teens with the incredible, unconditional love of God. We strive to evidence that purpose in all we do whether through evening devotions, puddle-jumping, or whispered conversations after lights-out. Supporting and encouraging kids in a safe environment is our way of sharing God's breathtaking love.

At Pinnacle Diamond Ranch (Camp Pinnacle’s HorseCamp run concurrently with Summer Camp) we teach horsemanship from a godly perspective and have a blast doing so!

2008 is the third year for our horsemanship program, and there are some changes in store for HorseCampers this year. For example:

  • This year HorseCamp weeks will be divided into skill levels as follows:
    • Weeks 2 & 3 are for beginner* riders only.
    • Weeks 1 & 4 are for intermediate* riders only.
    • Week 5 is for advanced* riders only.
      * Please click beginner, intermediate or advanced
to see the qualifications for riders.

  • This year HorseCampers will be responsible for the hands-on care of a particular horse during their week at camp including:
    • feeding, watering & grooming
    • mucking stalls & walking fences
    • relational training with Natural Horsemanship based on trainer Pat Parelli’s techniques
**please note: HorseCampers will still ride different horses every day during their week.

There are some things, though, that will be familiar to our “regulars” this year! For example:

  • Class size will still be limited to 8 riders so there will be plenty of individual attention for each rider.

  • Camp weeks are still divided into skill levels, and which week you come to HorseCamp is really important. Click on the links below to see the qualifications for riders at our beginner, intermediate and advanced levels:
  • Back by popular demand in 2008! Week 6 is GamesWeek where advanced riders can come enjoy more difficult games, obstacle courses, driving, roping & rodeo, jumping & dressage.

  • Friday afternoon Horse Show for campers weeks 1 - 5 and an event presentation for GamesWeek campers week 6!
